The Sales Department - Sinkholes
Label: Test Tube
Release date: 2011
Total running time: 00:30:46
«The third and last installment of the series started by canadian music composer Mike Matheson, has come to an end. Like both its predecessors, 'Sinkholes' invests in gorgeous and intricately crafted beats that remind us how good good electronic music can be, especially this breed of the so called 'IDM'. Gentle pads and background ambient help build the rest of this excellent release. Hard to pick a favorite among all the tracks on offer.
This is certainly a good excuse for all of you to download the first two releases by The Sales department, '[Sub]ways' and 'A Practical Guide' and together with 'Sinkholes' play them all in a row. It's more than 60 minutes of really great canadian electronic music.» - test tube

Parachute Pulse – Kingdom
Label: Asiluum Arts
Release date: 2011
Total running time: 00:48:44
Parachute Pulse is the creative moniker for the music of Bucharest, Romania based Ana who is known for her collaborations with Discordless and Nightpray.
So far she has been some sort of a shadowy creative member here at Asiluum but she has been working hard for more than an year on her debut solo album and we are absolutely proud to be releasing this beautiful album.
Integrating an expressive mix of lively field recordings, haunting vocal arrangements, warm noise and often creeping, sometimes sporadic bursts of melody, Kingdom carves out a cinematic collection of moods, emotions and distant memories.
Kingdom features two collaborations with Res Es (Şerban Ilicevici of Semiosis) and a remix by Liar.

"ars memorativa", latin for "the art of memory", is a general term used to designate a loosely associated group of mnemonic principles and techniques used to organize memory impressions, improve recall, and assist in the combination and 'invention' of ideas. Inspired by this old technique, this album is a tribute to moments, memories, places, feelings and atmospheres. it can be seen as the sequel to the album "remembering" that was released on laverna in late 2009.

Technology of Silence - The Squad

GENRE: Electronic, Post Nuclear, Dark Ambient, Industrial, IDM![]()
Label: Enough Records
Release date: 2010
Total running time: 01:12:11
Technology of Silence is a story about a post-nuclear city... it’s a story about people who live in the city... it’s a story about ecological catastrophe... about human madness... human fears... and about eternal searching for loneliness. Technology of Silence is a Russian ambient / industrial / experimental project that has existed since 2004. The founder of the project is Denis Romanov. Silence and music are incompatible notions. Various ideas are united in their music. The surrounding world and events happening in it are considered from completely different points of view, opposite sides. The idea of duality is congenial to the band. The music of TOS is atmospheric, melancholic and creates a certain mood. It’s a fusion of ambient, industrial, IDM, minimal techno, although the band doesn’t keep to a certain style. Environmental problems, man-caused catastrophes – one of the basic themes among the line of TOS’s albums. The main character of the band’s stories is a post-apocalyptic city. It appears as the ruins of a high-tech civilization, perished with its own hands and as a container of human’s recollections, emotions and feelings.

Trills - Fetal Discoveries

GENRE: Electronic, IDM, Drone![]()
Label: Archaic Horizon
Release date: 2008
Total running time: 1:02:02
Guided by iridescent synths, swirling about an incandescing playground of beats, we are induced into the sonic narrative that is 'Fetal Discoveries'. Narrated by harmonious melodies and the sounds of psychedelic experimentation, this album is rich with a personifying timbre. Appropriately opening with 'Embryo', the track begins with fluorescent sonics that gyrate in a sea of ambience, thereafter blossoming out from lively, fluid currents. The title track, 'Fetal Discoveries', filters organs through fluid, warm distortion, and melds them to effervescent signal noise. Jittering with more electricity, 'Savasana' is a melee of glitchy charged beats, bombarding swells of electrical currents, and warm melodies. This beautiful sonic narrative flows from song to song, greatly enlivened with Trills infused and energetic style. He has injected even the softer ambient songs with electricity, creating a brilliant depth and character in each synth. Add to this alluring, projected and thematic array of imagery, and 'Fetal Discoveries' becomes a memorable album that won't be easily forgotten. Available in FLAC!

Label: Phonocake
Release date: 2010
Total running time: 0:49:14
The whole world in a tracker. Small earworms drifting through columns of numbers and while the the world is celebrating one HiTech after another, some people in their little rooms know what is good, or what one knows, or what one is good in. The specialists are on their way and push the worms through ... a bag of ATARI-chips in the emulation cotton candy machine, bright white and isolated, while scientists in Bonn cool down the light and create a new light source from superparticles, so they can create new usable light wavelength, for creating the chips of tomorrow. In 505's PC Debut "Cirrus" you float by five years of digesting and processing, where the icy threads condense and announce a warm front with a silky shimmer and vice versa. What can be an ice cloud at high altitude, is beeing 'tracked' and 'renoised' pushed ahead to the finale using piano recordings, found sounds such as from the Berlin train station or relatives, accompanied by catchy moments, that for once can sound almost like movie score, or Japanese pop music, which was translated into French, with detuning moments, drifting into pleasure. Tetarise – Through the Silent Void

GENRE: Electronic, Experimental, IDM, Psy Chill![]()
Label: Silent Flow
Release date: 2010
Total running time: 0:42:36
The halcyon days… The wind disorderly shakes branches of the trees. Morning sunlight scatters on the ceiling, fingers numb from the cold. I listen attentively to the rustling leaves, slight ululation of the wind. I fall into a dream, I find myself among the trees white with frost, and the ground with a thin snow cover. The sky is dark, but it seems like the trees light everything around them like some sort of lanterns. I step barefoot on the slightly snowy path and move towards the exit from the thicket. In the midst of the meadow, I fall on my back and stretch my arms. Everythings blurs and the sky becomes closer. So quiet… So calm…
