Medelia is the fusion of Elia Medel and Pablo Maqueda. The mixture of two names and a common way of understanding music. A timeless acoustic sound is distilled from its two voice lines, and creates a singular world halfway between literature and music. Medelia want to make the complicated simple. The project started in 2009 as the logical outlet for musical and literary career of Elia and Paul. Live, the "family" grows, and Paul's acoustic guitar is wrapped over the keys, strings and brushes of the band that could best understand the spirit of Medelia: Pablo Oliva (keyboards), José Luis Luna (bass), Eduardo de la Mata (brush box) and Heidi Buffington (violin). “Light Breaks Where No Sun Shines” is the first EP of the duo Medelia (Pablo Medel y Elia Maqueda), from Madrid (Spain). Five tracks moving between folk and pop, produced by José Luis Luna in Habitación 126 and Ritmo y Compás studios.
