Medo's Little Trap - Medicine Sound

A delicate work, between electro-pop, acoustic ballads and symphonic bewilderment.
MeDo’s Little Trap is a container, an imaginary collective, whose only composer and permanent member, tries to hide in order to come across only as a pure musical act. The idea of the collective dates back to 2010. The musical production took shape in 2008. Actually the record project involves the publication of a full album, but since self-production requires a very long time, the collective/non-collective decided to release in the meantime a 4 tracks EP: Medicine Sound.

This music is based on how my dreams have been working throughout the years.The thing I like about dreams is that there are no schemes, no shames, no recipes and everything can happily or strangely cohabit with everything else.The way the songs are composed are similar to what I’ve expereinced in my dream so far. Like the hospital in my hometown turned upside down and placed in the middle of a race circuit, or me riding a turtle dressed up like Darth Vader, chasing my auntie along the dock of an unknown port in Malaysia. And other billions of strange and funny combinations of the puzzle- pieces of my life.And everybody’s life I suppose.Some of this dreams are made in a song form, some others are built like a possible dream would develop. Some vocal parts sound like somebody that’s sleep talking and the music is supposed to be what’s sonically going on in his/her head or you can hear that the music melts when somebody is falling asleep. And if you listen at a reasonable low volume you can still hear the music and what’s going on in the room next to yours at the same time.It’s very interesting. I swear.Apart from this, I also think that this music is good for your heart.And, by the way, this album has been recorded inside a cardboard box.

Agustín Medina - Fascination For Seeing The Invisible

Agustín Medina is a sound artist from Seville (Spain). Previously he was known as Medinadifez. Now a days he’s best known by its collaboration with ambient project Carrier To Noise Ratio based in Seville as well.
Medina has a minimalistic and abstract way to understand sound and composition. Medina focus its interest on creating complex sound structures in which we can hear a deep understanding of sound synthesis. As well Medina pays special attention on graving sound samples extracted from many sources as well as soundscapes.
His works have been part of different projects ranging from art to theatre working hand by hand with Cirque Du Soleil and with Atalaya TNT, 2008’s National Prize of Theatre.
Fascination For Seeing The Invisible is a short EP that runs for 24 minutes. Nevertheless, with this EP one can have a grasp of Medina’s concerns regarding, ambient music and dark atmospheres. It has some parts where extreme rhythms take over the sound range and those are juxtaposed by subtile melodies mottled by found sounds as if they where found footage for a audiovisual composition.
Finally Fascination For Seeing the Invisible is a concrete canvas of specific sound scenes, a counter part of his wider (until the date release) The Mask Of God, released at the brand new 48Laws Netlabel in which Medina is closely involved.

The project “MetanoiaX” from Munich got its name back in 2007. At this point in time it was decided that the project should be more than just a live act. Yosh & Boe, the guys behind this project originally started together to make music in 1999. MetanoiaX has previously had some releases on FOEM and FreieSeelen as well as putting on various live performances. The live performances are generally more Techno orientated but the produced tracks do touch other styles like Ambient and Electro. MetanoiaX brings us a fresh 7 Track EP.
